All in all, I would love to revisit to take in their other menu items as well as re-visit the chicken alfredo. Every place has a bad day perhaps this was theirs.
This is a lovely place to have lunch. The food is delicious and waitstaff friendly and accomodating. I always have a great experience here.
On my visit I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo. The first thing I noticed was that the had adorned the plate with fresh Basil! I was immediately impressed wit their presentation for such a road side restaurant. the next thing I noticed was the inclusion of a spaghetti spoon, (the likes of which I had not seen at any Olive Garden).
Next the dish tasted like garlic powder was *poured* over the dish right before serving. There was a powdery texture to the noodles and there was a definite after vapor of garlic. This, unfortunately, killed the flavor of the alfredo sauce. There was no richness or body in the sauce and with the added garlic powder feel, I was unimpressed.
The chicken, on the other hand, had been grilled then added to the dish as a seeming after-thought but was firm and moist.
Our waitress was so awesome. Nice quite place to go. Food was good too and lots of it for little money.
This is where my state of excitement ends. With the dish I was served bread which was toasted on one side and doughy on the other. I can appreciate the use of lightly toasted bread for the leftover sauce but not a fully toasted side and a soggy side.
The riverside restaurant has a great menu and someday I would like to try all of their dishes.
Amazing place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food reminds me of what you would order at a diner; fantastic omelettes, burgers and fish. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. Large, open dining space. Clean bathrooms.
Always a great experience. Food is delicious, service is decently quick, and staff is attentive.
